Retail Units, Wembley
Retail units in a busy High Street.
The building is a steel post and beam structure with low pitch roof system, polycarbonate open feature central area and vertical fire resistant composite wall panels. This included the laying and fixing of metal decking for the first floor structure. The building covered the entire foot print of the site so meticulous planning was required to ensure the project ran smoothly.

No room for error
As the frame of the building was going to extend to near enough the full footprint of the site and with access off a very busy road in the centre of Wembley, a tower crane was used throughout the entire process of steel erection as well as roof and wall cladding installation. This took a lot of planning and organising for the right materials to be on site at the right time.

Contractors working together.
The client appointed several contractors to carry out various works and a site manager to organised every detail of the construction. Once the steel frame and roof were installed other contractors were working on their areas so the wall cladding and flashings had to be worked to coincide with all other site events. The project manager did very well to manage this and we helped by trying to limit the amount of materials on site with daily deliveries.
Impressive finish.
The client had a vision of this building that was put up on a banner before any work had started. While the works were ongoing it was difficult to see if this vision would ever come to reality. In the end though it was clear to see that this was an impressive project to look at and have been a part of.
