About Us
John Ruck grew up in Leysters, just outside Leominster on a small farm with his family. As well as working with his father on the farm, John started working at Mifflin Construction in 1970. He quickly gained the knowledge and experience to start fabricating buildings and gates out of his fathers barn and so started John Ruck Construction in 1976. The business grew rapidly and so did its reputation. In 1980, John and his wife Anne moved to Arbor House in Leysters and ran the business from there until 2002. Through these years the business flourished from a small side business to an established supplier of steel framed buildings.
Strength to Strength.
In 2003 the business moved to its current site in Elms Green just South of Leominster and became a limited company. Now known as JRC, the business has kept the same hard working core values from the beginning. Katrina Clegg who joined the business in 1998 was appointed as a Director in 2003 and is now the Managing Director of the business. Jamie Williams who joined in 2006 was appointed as a Director in 2022. While John’s values are still very much at the heart of the business, he also has other ventures which he enjoys pursuing, leaving Katrina and Jamie to ensure the business is in a strong position for the future.
Our History

1974
John starts off by carrying out repairs for others and fabricating gates/barriers. He is operating from a shed on his fathers farm.

1980
John and Anne move to Arbor House where workshops are built to start fabricating farm buildings.

1984
With work levels increasing Mike Green starts working with John. He later becomes the workshop supervisor. John’s brother Charlie also joins the team.

1990
The well established business begins to expand further when an opportunity arises to enter into the industrial market.

1998
Katrina commences work with John Ruck Construction.

2000
John Ruck Construction becomes incorporated and is now John Ruck Construction Ltd, trading as JRC.

2002
Having outgrown the premises at Leysters the business commences the build of its own purpose built facilities at a new site just south of Leominster. These new facilities, which also offer better access, ensure that the business can continue to grow and meet the needs of its increasing client base as it can now produce fabricated steelwork for larger industrial clients

2003
Katrina appointed as director as the limited company commences the trading operations from the newly completed site at Longmead

2006
Jamie joins the team at JRC.

2016
JRC undertakes its largest project to date for a repeat customer in Malvern.

Katrina appointed MD and Jamie appointed director

We have now completed over 3000 projects.

2026
In 2026 we will celebrate 50 years of trading.
